• Michelle Jernigan has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1982. She was one of the first mediators to become Florida Supreme Court certified in 1988. She joined the firm of Upchurch Watson White & Max in the early 90’s. She later became one of two women principals of UWWM.

• Since becoming a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator, Michelle has mediated thousands of cases in person and virtually. She has successfully mediated cases in almost every subject area, but focuses her practice primarily on employment, ERISA, healthcare, personal injury, property damage and commercial disputes.

• Michelle also arbitrates cases and has been a Florida Qualified Arbitrator since 1992. She has conducted arbitrations as a panel member and as sole arbitrator in the areas of personal injury, commercial, employment and securities violations.

• She is a member of the ADR Section Executive Counsel and serves on the Board of Trustees with the American College of Civil Trial Mediators. She is a published author and a well-recognized speaker in the field of ADR. She also serves as an assistant trainer in mediation trainings.
