Dr. Meger Chappell is a native of Chicago, IL. He is a retired United States Navy Captain. He has held numerous key leadership positions including Commanding Officer of the guided-missile destroyer USS Roosevelt, Deputy Commander in Littoral Combat Ship Squadron Two, Deputy Commander in Destroyer Squadron Four Zero, and Commodore in Destroyer Squadron Four Zero. He earned master’s degrees in Management, Military Operational Art and Science, Human Resources Management, Master of Business Administration (MBA), Masters in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, and a Juris Master. Dr. Chappell also earned a Doctor of Law and a Ph.D. in Business Administration.
Dr. Chappell is a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Arbitrator, Department of the Navy Mediator, Florida Civil Circuit Supreme Court Mediator, County Court Mediator, Family Mediator, and Guardian Ad Litem. He is also the Chief Operating Officer of Chappell & Chappell Consulting and Mediation Professionals, LLC. Dr. Chappell has mediated numerous civil, family, small claims, and Department of the Navy cases and conducted conflict resolution seminars, consulting, and training across various platforms.
In addition to being an adjunct professor at National University’s School of Law and Policy where he teaches undergraduate Alternative Dispute Resolution courses he also serves as a Dissertation Chair for prospective Ph.D. graduates. In addition, Dr. Chappell is also the Academic Chair in the School of Business at Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, FL where he is also a professor of business and pre-law. In his personal life he is a lifelong professional martial artist where he teaches and practices numerous disciplines. Dr. Chappell is an energetic servant leader with a passion for learning, conflict resolution, coaching, mentoring, and helping others achieve their goals.
