Kate Marshman attended the University of Florida and received a Bachelors of Science in Telecommunications News from the College of Journalism and a Juris Doctor from the College of Law. She became a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator during law school and was employed immediately after law school as the Mediation Services Coordinator for the Second Judicial Circuit of Florida. Following her employment there, she served as In-House Counsel for the Division of Pari-Mutuel Wagering and then the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco and primarily focused on agency rulemaking, public records issues, and administrative actions and processes. She was hired as a State Mediator with the Office of Judges of Compensation Claims in 2022. Ms. Marshman has taught over 50 hours of Continuing Mediator Education Courses and has been selected as a presenter three times to teach courses at the Annual Florida Dispute Resolution Center Conference. She is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a County-Civil, Circuit-Civil, Family and Dependency Mediator.
