Speaker Bio
Erin Faye Duncan is an attorney, mediator, and former General Magistrate dedicated to helping families resolve disputes while maintaining control over the outcomes that shape their lives. With over a decade of experience in family law and judicial service, Erin brings a practical, client-focused approach to resolving even the most complex family conflicts.

From 2019 to 2023, Erin served as a General Magistrate in Osceola and Orange Counties, appointed by the Chief Judge of the Ninth Judicial Circuit. In that role, she presided over hundreds of cases involving family, dependency, and mental health matters, giving her unique insight into how judges make decisions — and how families can avoid leaving those critical decisions in a judge’s hands.

As a certified mediator in family, civil, and appellate cases, Erin believes in the power of negotiation and creative problem-solving to help families reach agreements that work for them. She encourages clients to actively participate in resolving their disputes. She holds them accountable to that process, knowing that negotiated solutions often provide longer-lasting, healthier outcomes than court-imposed decisions.

While Erin is a strong advocate when litigation is necessary, she strives to minimize conflict and promote resolution. She recognizes that families are best served when they retain control of life-changing decisions. Her work as a Guardian ad Litem and mentor to new family law attorneys further reflects her dedication to serving families with integrity and compassion.

Erin’s blend of judicial experience, negotiation skills, and practical legal knowledge makes her a valuable resource for those navigating family law issues and professionals seeking better ways to serve their clients.
